Latest News

The coaching and management team would like to express their gratitude for all of your efforts during the season - Especially with us having the upheaval of moving to a new club. We are now fully integrated and wish to thank Shillingstone cricket club for allowing us to join them. As coaches, we feel that in doing so, it has enhanced the team and standards. We have had so many new experiences throughout this time, having the confidence to enter the National T20 hardball competition, and through this finding new, and challenging teams to play. There was also the ECB softball, which many enjoyed, whether playing in others festivals, or running and playing in our own.

Training

Outdoor training is finished for the season. but we will update you when we have decided a night for next season.

The most exciting news is that the Blandford leisure centre has been booked for indoor training sessions. You will see times vary to try to allow all some access these. They are open to both men and women.  The bowling machine will be available to us on some weeks. The hall will be split, and after Christmas the youth girls will be asked to attend along with us once a month. If you donate through local giving – then there is no charge, but if you don’t the committee will decide the cost. Please make every effort to attend as many as possible, to learn or improve on your skills, and most importantly get together and have fun. We also have ECB funding which is allowing us to send Jemma and Isabelle on a level two coaching course. The more you attend, the more these ladies can improve their coaching skills for their courses, and your benefit.

It’s great to see new faces – even if you are new to the game!

We cover all aspects of cricket at training, and we have great coaches willing to run the sessions to cover anything we have specifically asked for!

Most importantly everything we do is not taken too seriously and we always make it fun!

Christmas Meal

Also, Jemma will be looking to organise a Christmas meal at The Old Ox sometime in December. If you are interested, please keep an eye on our facebook page for more information. There will be regular updates on there anyway to do with training sessions. If you can give some indication as to whether you can make it to events and training it is much easier to plan ahead, thanks guys.
